Short film: Roll Initiative

Roll Initiative is a short film that follows a group of D&D adventurers. It’s directed by Stefan Varvaressos-Abdi and won the One-Reeler Short Film Competition in Los Angeles.

The film contains some swearing.

It’s not a mega-bucks film at all, the credits thank the donors who made it possible as well as Critical Role and Wizards of the Coast but achieve much with the money it had.

The plot also addresses one of the benefits of tabletop roleplaying games that aren’t often spoken about. D&D can be a way to unburden yourself with friends, maybe allow for a bit of introspection and do it all within the safe confines of fantasy.
