It’s been over a year since Modiphius took control of Vampire: the Masquerade.

It wasn’t the series of events anyone expected, but after a series of controversies that divided the gaming community, Paradox Interactive awarded the British publisher with the license. White Wolf was moved to a brand management role, looking after the broader World of Darkness and one of their first moves was to award the Werewolf: the Apocalypse license to Modiphius’s competitor Hunters Entertainment.
The new starter pack is a print and play download that costs £5 and is designed to suit people who are new to roleplaying games or familiar with previous editions of Vampire.
The pack contains a short story designed to teach you 5e, a game of personal and political horror. It carries a mature warning, with violence, sexual themes and strong language featured.
Along with the rules reference guide, there are printable enemy and victim cards, seven different player characters and a relationship map for them.
The game, called New Blood, begins in the meat locker and when the player characters are waking up as vampires for the first time.
