Threefold isn’t just the first official setting designed for Modern AGE, developer Malcolm Sheppard explains blog post that it’s a Green Ronin flagship product.
That means Threefold is getting all the love and care Green Ronin can spare, it’s getting accessories and supplements.
Five and Infinity
The first of these supplements is an adventure book called Five and Infinity which is slated for 2020.
It seems like the adventure will arrive in the front end of 2020, rather than the backend, as Sheppard reveals they’re at the final edits stage.
There’s not much from Green Ronin as to what the adventure will contain, but Sheppard encourages us to think that Threefold is about the power of thought to steer history. There are powerful factions, some with the PCs, some against the characters in Threefold that operate across more than world reality. Could Five and Infinity be about five of those worlds?
Modern AGE
The next Modern AGE book will work for Threefold but is not dedicated to it.
Enemies & Allies is a set of NPCs and creatures divided by genre. The categories already confirmed for the book are; modern fantasy, horror, thriller, crime and near-future sci-fi.
There are elements in Enemies & Allies that specifically call out to Threefold, though, like the hidden nation of Invindara.
The Modern AGE Mastery Guide is also due in 2020, but it is still in first drafts so it may well arrive after Five and Infinity.
Lastly, and perhaps most intriguingly, Malcolm Sheppard makes it pretty clear that Green Ronin is open to more licensed products (The Expanse RPG uses Modern AGE, for example), and are hoping to do at least three new campaign settings on their own or as partnerships for Modern AGE.
