Asmodee Digital, Fantasy Flight Interactive and partners have been working on a Lord of the Rings computer card game that blends typical deck-building battles with a storyline and even allows you to play with a friend.

The game is due out August 29th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and you can find the early access on Steam already.
There are two storylines to work through. One has you trying to save Bilbo from a monstrous spider in Shadow’s Reach. The other requires you to investigate why orcs and spiders are working together in Southern Mirkwood.
Heroes in Lord of the Rings: Adventure Card Game belong to either Leadership, Lore, Spirit or Tactics spheres of influence, and this determines which cards you can play in some circumstances.
