Many Zelda fans hold Breath of the Wild in the highest regard and so the news that there’s a sequel coming was one of the significant events of E3.
We don’t know much about the game. The trailer has Zelda and Link in it. They’re exploring, and it looks like the wake something up.
They may have been under Hyrule Castle as the final shot shows a castle shaking and then beginning to rise up.
Just how popular was the original Breath of the Wild? It won Best Game at the 2016 Game Critic Awards, Most Anticipated Game at the Game Awards the same year, won the Grand Award at Japan Game Awards the year after, won Critic’s Choice Award, Nintendo Game of the YEar and Ultime Game of the YEar at the Golden Joystick Awards, Best International Game at the Ping Awards, Game of the Year and others at the Game Awards in 2017, Game of the Year and others at the D.I.C.E. Awards in 2018 and the list goes on and on.
