It turns out the Father’s Day is a good date to look for geeky goodies. The traditional Father’s Day actually dates back to the Middle Ages and isn’t a commercial invention. That Father’s Day, though, should be celebrated on the 19th of March. Oops. Missed it. The more common date, as found in the US and parts of Europe, is now the third Sunday of June. It floats around.
MyGeekBox is a hybrid store from The Hut in the UK. Not the Star Wars’ Hutt clan but the online retailers.
It’s a hybrid store because it offers subscription boxes – like the Father’s Day Comic Box but also one-off purchases. The offer caught my eye because of the 2 for £20 t-shirts deal and a host of discounted geeky gifts.
