Short film: Critters – Bounty Hunter

Do you remember the film series Critters? 18-rated horror with killer fuzzballs. Super-fan Jordan Downey does and spearheaded this fan film.

Downey notes that Warner Bros have plans to retrieve the Critters franchise for their digital content unit. This film is his pitch for getting to be part of those plans; as a director. I think it’s better than any CV would be. The crew worked over two nights to make the short film and build everything; including learning the VFX for the very impressive glowing headed bounty hunter.

A quick search reveals some Critters love on the web. There’s this hoodie from Redbubble, a couple of posters and prints at AllPosters and plenty of Critters collectibles on ebay. Maybe there’s enough juice in the brand for a comeback.
