This wallpaper updates every hour to highlight a new Doctor. This works because the image is cool and there are 12 Doctors.
The question is – how on Earth do you get such a cool wallpaper?
- Step 1 is to download the images in this post.
- Step 2 is to put them all into a single folder and then select them as “1 hour” change picture wallpaper option on Windows 7. Here’s a screen grab of those settings. Not using Windows 7? You’ll know how to use it on your local OS.
- Step 3 is to use Rainmeter (free) to enhance your desktop with time and date information.
- Step 4 is to downoad the Simple Media skin for Rainmeter.
The challenge? Setting the Windows clock to start the hour countdown on the top of the hour so the illustration lines up.
