Tomorrow’s technology is here today with this incredible face projection

Imagine being able to change your face at will.

This technology is real. I suppose you could call it projected makeup or something similar and the video does begin with comparatively straight forward examples. Just you wait and watch to see where the technology could take your face.

This is the work of Nobumihi Asai and team. It’s technology from projection mapping which we now see used against the side of buildings but updated so it’s clever enough to map against the movement of the human face and keep up.

This feels cyberpunk too me. Are we many years away from a necklace or similar piece of technology being able to project an alternative face on your own? It is already possible to buy smartphones with projectors.
