Short film: Machine Stopped Working

This short film is an entry by Batwings & Bubblegum for Sci-Fi London’s 2014 48hr film competition. This means the whole film was made in 48hrs and that includes the special effects such as a 10-foot tall robot.

Another twist of the challenge is the line and prop that must be used. They had to include the line “Did you see it? Did you get a picture? We have to tell people.” and they had to include a scene where someone was unwrapping dry food, eating a bit and putting the pack away again.

What we have is a strange story of two soldiers battling into an industrial site to secure an alien life which, they hope, will activate another weird-looking bio-bot who might be able to save mankind.
