Darkest Dungeon explores psychological toll of dungeon crawling

In Darkest Dungeon you manage a group of flawed heroes. The hardcore RPG is as much about looking after hit point totals as it is keeping the group’s spirit up in the darkness and battle.

It is a side scroller with challenges. For example, your bard has had too many party friends die on him and is now prone to morbid rants that upset the others. Do you send him into town to blow off steam or to a sanatorium? Your Plague Doctor’s techniques unsettle your Highwayman so much that he refuses treatment.
