Is this what a “Spoonhead” from Doctor Who looks like?

Last night the BBC released a new poster for Doctor Who s7.2.

We also discovered the episode, written by Steven Moffat, will be called The Bells of St John and would feature a new monster with the unlikely name the Spoonheads.

Spoonheads? Really?

Well… perhaps.

If you look closely at the poster and study all the glass that’s flying up (perhaps from the Shard) you can see various faces in the pieces.

Are these the new monsters? It certainly seems likely but at glance the Spoonheads feel very different to the sinister Weeping Angels and Silence Mr Moffat has offered us in the past. Perhaps he wanted a change.

In the piece of glass right by the right of the bike, by the Doctor’s hand, there’s a robot creature that looks like it has a spoon for a head.
