The Transformer Prime is a very tasty looking Android tablet from ASUS. It’s expected to ship in December. I suspect the Christmas rush might even sell it out.
It’s a remarkable bit of kit in that it may look like a small laptop until you lift it up from its docking station keyword in which case it becomes a tablet. It also runs Nvidia’s quad-core Tegra 3 chip. That’s right; 4 cores!
The ASUS Transformer Prime isn’t expected to arrive with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on it but this video from Nvidia shows that the upgrade is not only possible but desirable. It looks very smooth indeed.
