It was great to stumble across one half of Red Mug Games, Dan Carter-Hope, and learn about their new prototype game Grave Business, making its demo debut at Tabletop Scotland 2026.
Red Mug Games (which could be found just next to the entrance at stall Z-01) is of course best known for its rpg Haunted Heist (boxed editions of which were also available at Tabletop Scotland this weekend) but this new offering is shaping up to be something really quite different indeed – a card game!
Apparently the brainchild of Paul Williams, Grave Business is all about robbing graves, and looks very fun. For instance, I just randomly picked up a card and took a look, winning me the praise of Dan who told me I was a graverobbing natural by finding The Great Gerald right off the bat!
The artwork for the cards looks fabulous, and Geek Native can confirm no AI was used – with video showing the full design process of a card called ‘The Last Drop’ having been shared on social media. Fantastic.
Although there’s no official confirmation of a date for the Grave Business Kickstarter launch, it should be coming later this year – and we’ll be looking out for it.

In the meantime, I’d recommend following Red Mug Games on Instagram for all the latest updates.
