Golem Productions has announced the full physical retail release of Ravaged by Storms, the first dedicated campaign book designed for the Pirate Borg roleplaying game. The mythic sandbox adventure is now available in print and digital formats through Limithron’s official third-party storefront, DriveThruRPG, and selected hobby retailers. The announcement marks the arrival of the physical book in retail stores as fulfilment to the project’s 719 crowdfunding backers approaches completion.

The project, which secured €37,195 in combined funding across Kickstarter and BackerKit campaigns that concluded in 2025, introduces a high-lethality sandbox framework. While the digital PDF edition has been available on DriveThruRPG for months during the manufacturing phase, this retail launch brings the completed physical hardback to the wider tabletop market. The supplement targets gaming groups looking to expand the typically fast, high-casualty mechanics of Pirate Borg into sustained, multi-session campaigns.
Set in the storm-wracked Death Wind Islands within The Dark Caribbean, the campaign framework centres on the Lifeless City, a bone-white ruin guarded by a mythical feathered serpent. The plot is driven by a stolen relic that threatens to unleash an ancient horror, pulling rival pirate crews, colonial authorities, and undead sailors into a shifting race against time. Designed to span 5 to 10 sessions of play, the module prioritises open-ended exploration and emergent, player-driven problem-solving over rigid plot paths.
The book was written and designed by Alexander Jatscha-Zelt, featuring layout and more than 40 pieces of original hand-drawn artwork by Sabrina Jatscha. Together, the sibling duo operates Golem Productions, an independent indie studio based in Germany. The studio previously established its presence in the Pirate Borg third-party community with The Way of the Worm, which won Best Adventure at Limithron’s Cabin Fever Jam in 2024, and The Scarlet Coral Citadel.
Alexander Jatscha-Zelt, Lead Designer at Golem Productions, said in a statement, “Pirate Borg is brilliant at fast, brutal one-shots, but the Dark Caribbean is too rich to only be visited for a single night. With Ravaged by Storms, we wanted to show that the system can also carry a full campaign: a place where things happen whether the players get involved or not. The Death Wind Islands are not a plot to follow. They are a place in motion, full of factions, storms, monsters, and consequences waiting for each crew to make their own disaster.”
The 72-page sandbox volume contains nine distinct adventure locations, dedicated travel and faction tracking procedures, rumour tables, and dynamic storm generators. Additionally, the release includes seven new monsters, story-altering relics, wind rituals, and a digital Solo Storm supplement tailored for solo campaign play. Virtual tabletop assets, digital maps, and an official atmospheric soundtrack accompany the digital and physical editions.
