The tabletop roleplaying games community is rallying behind a major industry milestone and a critical health crisis this week as Pinnacle Entertainment Group launches ticket sales for its Deadlands 30th Anniversary Celebration.

The exclusive two-day live event is scheduled for Friday, 9 October and Saturday, 10 October 2026 at Rawhide, a replica Western town located just south of Phoenix, Arizona. However, with attendance strictly limited to just 100 ticket holders, space at the hoedown is already becoming a premium commodity for fans of the long-running Weird West setting.
The venue’s capacity restrictions have immediately transformed the gathering into a high-demand event. Early interest tracking on social media suggests that the allocation may sell out incredibly quickly, with approximately 90 individuals already publicly confirming their intention to attend on the event’s official Facebook page. This leaves a minuscule margin for remaining fans hoping to secure access to the jam-packed schedule, which runs from 9 am to midnight each day and includes catered Western meals, live gunfighter reenactments, and an integrated “zombie crawl” event.
The milestone celebration follows the conclusion of the Deadlands 30th Anniversary Celebration crowdfunding campaign, which ended a few months ago. Pinnacle Entertainment Group has confirmed that digital PDF editions of the new 2026 Core Rulebook and the companion Rascals, Varmints & Relics sourcebook have officially transitioned to general retail availability on the publisher’s online storefront. The physical event in Arizona will serve as the live culmination of these recent rulebook updates, featuring dedicated developer Q&A panels, trivia sessions, and early setting announcements directly from the creators.

Beyond the anniversary preparations, the Savage Worlds community is currently shifting its focus toward an urgent mutual aid effort for one of Pinnacle’s foundational creative voices. Aaron Acevedo, who has served as the publisher’s Art Director for several years and shaped the visual identity of countless supplements, is currently hospitalised at Mount Sinai in New York City. Aaron Acevedo is preparing to undergo a complex and costly double transplant operation to receive both a new heart and a new kidney.
Pinnacle Entertainment Group, in a statement highlighting the critical situation, said:
Aaron is a kind and generous person, who has done so much for others throughout his life, but right now he could really use our help. Aaron is currently in Mount Sinai hospital in New York City preparing to receive a heart and kidney transplant. This is an immensely difficult and expensive process, so we are reaching out for help to make it through and help Aaron get a new lease on life.”
The publisher has outlined two primary channels for the community to provide direct financial support. A dedicated crowdfunding campaign has been established to assist with the immense medical and recovery costs. Concurrently, an extensive digital charity initiative has been launched on DriveThruRPG, featuring a huge bundle of nearly 70 RPGs valued at over $420, made available for a flat price of $30 to ensure that 100% of the proceeds can be directed toward the art director’s medical journey.
Simultaneously, Pinnacle’s weekly broadcasting schedule continues to highlight independent expansions within the Savage Worlds Adventurer’s Guild (SWAG) ecosystem. The upcoming official livestream on Friday 12 June will feature host J-M DeFoggi alongside award-winning community creator Christian Merz. The broadcast will focus on two new digital design releases, More Martial Options and Settingless 6, which introduce expanded combat edge progressions and alternative arcane rules to the underlying mechanical engine.
