Reporting live from the UK Games Expo floor, Geek Native can confirm that Blue Fox Tabletop has brought an unannounced but definitely not a surprise to the convention. While their current Kickstarter campaign dominates digital attention, physical copies of The Curse of Cthulhu – Book 2: The Flames That Consume Us are sitting on the table at Stand 2-301 right now.

Simon Birks and the team at Blue Fox Tabletop are a ubiquitous presence at conventions, and their prolific output, averaging a new project roughly every month, is on full display here in Birmingham. Walking the floor, it’s clear they aren’t just relying on crowdfunding hype; they are delivering tangible, printed media directly to attendees.
The newly printed gamebook, The Flames That Consume Us, continues the single-player, branching narrative established in The Curse of Cthulhu – Book 1: These Strange and Deadly Shores. Despite the cosmic horror theme and the daunting task of infiltrating a Gothic cathedral to retrieve a mysterious idol from a fanatical cult, the mechanics and tone remain accessible for ages seven and up. Players step into the shoes of an investigator dealing with Eldritch threats, using a simple two-dice and pencil system.
For those looking for a different flavour of Lovecraftian investigation, the stand also features other titles like Innsmouth: The Stolen Child.
This physical drop coincides with Blue Fox’s latest crowdfunding success. Their current Kickstarter for Tomb of the Spider-God, a new Cthulhu Mythos gamebook adventure, has already more than doubled its funding goal with hundreds of backers and about ten days remaining on the clock.
This upcoming adventure transitions players directly from the isolated Scottish setting of The Curse of Cthulhu into a frozen nightmare in the mountains of Greenland. Trapped beneath the shadow of the ancient Mount Voormithadreth, players must navigate a massive, multi-threaded narrative spanning over 500 sections to escape giant arachnid terrors using their wits and resourcefulness. The project features eerie internal artwork by Argentine illustrator Willi Roberts alongside a distinctly haunting cover design by acclaimed UK artist Lyndon White.
UK Games Expo attendees can find Blue Fox Tabletop at Stand 2-301 to secure their physical copies. Those watching from home can currently back Tomb of the Spider-God on Kickstarter.
