While navigating the bustling halls of the NEC this weekend for the UK Games Expo, Geek Native discovered that getting to a convention can be just as perilous as the campaigns in the roleplaying games themselves. Independent publisher DR Games, run by Toby Lancaster, made their UKGE debut at Stand 3-516 this year, but only after battling high-intensity lightning strikes on the railway tracks and unexpected car troubles.

Despite the notoriously problematic journey, the team arrived with a fresh-off-the-printer exclusive for attendees. DR Games is offering the physical booklet for Ship Manual Hornet F12b, which serves as Book Two for Lancaster’s Intergalactic Space Trader game. This physical edition features crisp line art of the titular vessel and has never been available before. It is currently exclusive to the convention floor, though it will be released more widely later.
DR Games is well known in the solo tabletop space for their 2D6 Dungeon series. Fans of those mechanics have more to look forward to, as late pledges are currently open for 2D6 Void, the sci-fi adaptation of their popular 2D6 system.
The publisher is also heavily investing in their community, proving to be active and generous with behind-the-scenes content on their Patreon. Appropriately enough, their latest video blog documents the harrowing, lightning-delayed journey the team took to set up their stand for the very first time.
For players wanting to secure their sci-fi adventures, late pledges for 2D6 Void are currently open, and more information on DR Games’ growing catalogue can be found on their official website and Patreon pages.
