With just under three weeks to go until AMC‘s The Vampire Lestat premiere, Eric Bogosian has apparently had the go-ahead to share the final trailer from his Instagram account – in the true Bogosian “not sure if I’m supposed to share that” style (it’s been a running and highly entertaining theme at press junkets).
Once Bogosian shared it to his account, the show also shared the trailer, and you can check out the original post below:
The trailer is pretty off the chain, as trailers go. I wasn’t quite prepared for just how wild this season is going to get, but I’ll tell you what… I’m 100% here for it!
Sam Reid (Lestat de Lioncourt), Jacob Anderson (Louis de Pointe du Lac), Assad Zaman (Armand) Delainey Hayles (Claudia), and Eric Bogosian (Daniel Malloy) are all set to reprise their roles, with newcomer Jennifer Ehle starring as Lestat’s inappropriate incestified mother Gabriella.
I’m excited to see more of Zaman’s Armand in particular, and his Devil’s Minion blossoming relationship with Daniel especially, but the show is so far keeping a lot of that under wraps. And yes, I know this is now a show about Lestat, but I don’t care – Armand is for me the main pull here.

It’s going to be an illuminating season in more ways than one, when you consider the Lestat featured in first two seasons of Interview with the Vampire was mostly just Louis’ and Armand’s versions of him. This season could be the truest Lestat we’ve yet gotten to know in the show.
As a former teenage Anne Rice fan, it took IWTV a while to grow on me (y’know, what with all the vampires having actual sex etc.) but once it did, I was utterly hooked. Also, as a reader and viewer of the previous films, I wasn’t ever that interested in Armand. This show has completely changed that, too. So, I guess I’m saying big ups to Rolin Jones.
The show is set to premiere on AMC+ on the 7th July, and will be released on the BBC here in the UK. I can’t wait to see how this is going to turn out.
