In the latest ‘what a time to be alive’ news, we have… a lipstick-inspired mechanical keyboard, complete with a range of yummy lippy shades and a weird little lipstick ESC button. Y’know, for when you want to escape purely into a fantasy lipstick land where you’re the Willy Wonka of makeup. Or something. What.
Yes, this is me, Bronwen, bringing you the latest tech with ‘tude news… SCRUMMY LIPSTICK KEYBOARD that’s actually well thought out as well as being stylish as heck.
This is one of the most eccentic keyboards I’ve ever laid eyes on, but underneath, I understand it’s actually quite a serious piece of kit from Lofree that isn’t to be sniffed at. It also costs around £165 (although it’s on sale for £125.99 in the UK at the time of writing this).
‘Kinell. I mean, it’s anapologetically bonkers chic, and I’m completely sold on it. I mean – LOOK at this promo pic. What even:

I ain’t going to lie to you, Girdy sent me to the Yanko site to originally look at a non-tech artsy but almost useless non-data storing calendar, which I flat out refused to even consider blogging about – I was then ushered back to find something better, and lo and behold we now have the winner.
“Yo dawg, I heard you like to wear lipstick whilst you’re typing, so I added some lipstick shades to your buttons so you can type in lipstick whilst you’re wearing your lipstick.” Or something.
Can you tell I’m in a not-entirely-serious mood tonight? It’s past 11pm on a Sunday, can you blame me? Anyway. Back to this, and how serious it is.

Lofree have apparently built a name for themselves building keyboards with personality, and The Lipstick has been described as a “proper enthusiast keyboard”. It runs Lofree x Gateron linear switches with a 40g actuation force, hot-swappable and compatible with both 3-pin and 5-pin configurations. Meaning it can be easily retuned without needing to touch a soldering iron to do so.
A comfortable, slightly cushioned rebound and softened acoustics make for a comfortable typing session, and the battery can last for up to 14 days of use without the backlight.
Y’know what? For an even better idea of how this baby handles, why don’t we just watch this Unboxing Plus video?
With Bluetooth 5.3 you can have up to three paired devices at any time, and switch seamlessly across macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android. That’s pretty nifty.
Y’know what else if nifty? That frosted ombre effect. Yummy.

Holy wow. I think we can safely say this is a very nice thing, and if you want to buy it for a real bargain right now, head to uk.WhatGeek.com. Thank me later.
What do you think of this incredibly yummy-looking lipstick keyboard? Does it match your shade? Does the tech do enough to make this a worthwhile and very stylish buy? Comment below.
