Wall tentacle – Halloween costumes for your house?

In the comment section below I’d love to know what you make of this Wall Tentacle?

I suspect it speaks to Cthulhu fans (hopefully not literally) and may appeal to nautical biologists and their breed. Would it appeal to anyone else? No need to mention the hentail brigade.

My first concern was how hard this would be to put up on the wall. Wouldn’t the nails need to be really long in order to take the weight of the out streched tentacle? Would it not also be tempting to put it in a corner, reaching out and across a wall as to avoid making a trip wire.
