Apple TV+‘s Severance was a out-of-left-field hit for the streaming service, so much so that its future is yet to be decided. It’d started with a three-to-four season arc, but with huge fanbase its now acquired, that might be up for reconsideration.
What we do know is that a third season is coming, and getting it shot and finalised is of the biggest priority. So, what do we know about it so far? Not much – apart from that it’s going to be “great”, according to star and executive producer Adam Scott, according to Adam Scott.
When speaking of the future of Severance, and the upcoming third season, here’s what Scott had to say to Variety:
Oh, yes. I’m an executive producer on the show, so I’m involved in all of it. We talk with the writers and Dan [Erickson] all the time. I know everything about what’s going on. [As an actor] I like having as much information as possible. It’s going to be great. There are so many surprises. I can’t wait to shoot it.
Interesting – I wonder what surprises season three will have in store! Another thing we know is that Ben Stiller won’t be the director this time round. However, Scott had something to say about that too, adding:
Ben is still very involved in the show. It’s going to be great. You know, it’s been over two years since we finished shooting Season 2. We’re all anxious to get back. We miss each other.
Fans are hungry like the wolf for season three, so I hope it won’t be too much longer to wait! We’ll update you with more Severance news… when we have it. In the meantime, there’s always Apple TV+ to rewatch seasons one and two.
