By the heading, I meant fun for us, the audience… not fun for his family. A24 recently dropped the trailer for dark comedy thriller How to Make a Killing, and it looks like it’s going to be a real riot!
Glen Powell stars as Beckett Redfollow, a man disowned at birth by his outrageously rich family, so… he decides to take matters into his own hands by murdering the seven relatives who are in front of him to inherit the family fortune.
How to Make a Killing is John Patton Ford‘s (known for Emily the Criminal) second feature film, and it’s a full-on remake of the 1949 British dark comedy Kind Hearts and Coronets. It’s of course been updated for a modern twist, but keeping with the tone of the original.
The studio has described the film with the following tagline: “Heir today, gone tomorrow.” I’d say that sums it up pretty well! Check out the trailer below:
Tell you what, I’m really enjoying seeing Powell take on these fun roles – especially hot on the heels of The Running Man, which he is PHENOMENAL in.
The impressive cast lineup also includes Margaret Qualley, Jessica Henwick, Bill Camp, Zach Woods, Topher Grace, and Ed Harris.
And How to Make a Killing will be released in cinemas on 26th February. What a great thing to look forward to!
