Following on from the news that Disney has bought Marvel we have a DC Comics film update.
Lobo is a tall, blue-skinned bounty hunter who seems to be utterly indestructible. The character is an anti-hero rather than a hero. A blue Hulk? Just with alien bounty-hunter gear.
In fact, Lobo was brought back from comic limbo after his initial appearance as a villain as something of a parody on Wolverine. However, Lobo became a hit with fans in his own right.
Joel Silver is lined up to be one of the movie’s producers alongside Akiva Goldsman and Andrew Rona. Warner Bros are hoping for a PG-13 rating.
Will the movie work? What do you think?
What chance Jason Statham gets the lead-role? Seems to be right up his alley and his past associations with Guy Ritchie should put him at the head of the queue, even though he can't act his way out a paper bag.
God, I hope not!
