To mark the 20th anniversary of the beloved stop-motion classic, Warner Bros. has announced that Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride will be released in 4K Ultra HD for the first time. The gothic musical fantasy is scheduled for a physical and digital release on September 22nd, 2025.

The 2005 film saw director Tim Burton return to the painstaking animation style that made The Nightmare Before Christmas a cultural touchstone. Based on a 19th-century Russian folktale, Corpse Bride tells the story of Victor, a young man who accidentally proposes to a deceased bride named Emily while practising his wedding vows in a forest. Whisked away to the Land of the Dead, Victor must navigate its surprisingly lively inhabitants. At the same time, his living fiancée, Victoria, waits for him back in the dour Land of the Living.
Fans and collectors will have several options to choose from. A standard 4K UHD edition will be available, alongside two special editions. A collectable Steelbook featuring an acetate O-Ring will be on offer, as well as a comprehensive Collector’s Edition.

The film was directed by Mike Johnson and Tim Burton, with a screenplay from John August, Caroline Thompson, and Pamela Pettler. The iconic score was composed by frequent Burton collaborator Danny Elfman.
