Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising trailer

Gods & Heroes is a MMG from Sony Online Entertainment and TriplePoint. It’s set in an ancient Rome inspired fantasy world. The backdrop sees the Olumpian gods battle against the returning and ancient Telchine gods.

Game play interests me because there’s a focus on squad combat and teams. That’s very Roman. This was the trained army were tactics and teams made such a huge difference. The game allows squads of players to team up to form epic battles. This is combined with over 1,500 story-driven missions. The game’s been in development since 2007 and Stieg Hedlund has been leading the project. Stieg Hedlund was the designer of Diablo II.
