How can they cast such a great actor in a role that dies early on?
SPOILER WARNING Yeah – but how could they place a lesser actor in the role of Ned? Besides, I think there are some other reasons; a) He’s a film actor doing TV here, but that’s okay because he’s not committing to 10 years of doing this (he’s not doing a Star Trek) and b) for marketing reasons it’ll screen “Lord of the Rings” at the punters.
