Okay, I get the ad – DirecTV is so cool that even superheroes would rather watch it than fight crime. Clever, huh?
No. Not for this geek. This ad just tells me that DirecTV is something the world would be better off without. DirecTV is something we need to overcome, something we need to fear and something we need to battle against!
What do you think? The ad is from Grey NY and I ask whether they’ve got their strategy wrong or whether, despite working in adland, I’m being too geeky about this?
