Hypersteel Nightmare is a tank skirmish game from Epigram. In the style of Frostgrave and Stargrave, you provide the minis, and they provide the rules. However, in Hypersteel Nightmare, the minis in play are tanks, mechs and other mobile armoured units.

Curious? There’s a free-to-download and 20+ page quickstart available (PDF link) online.
Now, the Nottingham-based company created by Connor Shearwood and Ev Moriarty has expanded into minis. The tanks with Epigram Games at the UK Games Expo are for the Reave Faction and were produced on the resin printers just this week.
Ev Moriarty has experience in this field, having worked with Mantic and Modiphius previously, and Connor has previous model design credits.
Hypersteel Nightmare isn’t widely distributed, and, curiously, the PDF edition isn’t on Wargamers Vault or Itch, but you can buy it and the hardback from the Epigram Games store. You can also pick up a copy this weekend from the studio’s booth at the UK Games Expo.

Geek Native understands that Hypersteel Nightmare was initially conceived as a World War II game, and that Epigram Games is currently working on a new World War II game, which, if development goes well, may also be published.
A special thanks to Vortex Verlag for sponsoring Geek Native’s coverage of UK Games Expo. You can meet them at stand 3A-758 and find out about the exciting new Serenissima Obscura crowdfunding campaign.
