Liquid Steel, the comic book series by artist Enrique Alcatena, is being translated into English for the first time. This project is undertaken by the Melsonian Arts Council, known for publishing and creating the roleplaying game TROIKA!.
Currently, this English translation is available for backing on BackerKit. Alongside it, Melsonian Arts Council are developing a new RPG book designed to integrate the world of Liquid Steel with the TROIKA! system. The campaign is live until June 6th on BackerKit.
The TROIKA! system provides a suitable framework for the Liquid Steel RPG, with a rules-light approach that allows those familiar with the comic series to readily begin character creation and engage with the world.
The Liquid Steel RPG setting book, written by Quiroga, is structured around the 11 Laws of the Realm. These open-ended cosmic principles suggest numerous esoteric and potentially unsettling possibilities within the game world. While TROIKA! is often about exploring a diverse universe with varied encounters, Liquid Steel presents a world where direct confrontation is a common outcome, though subverting the established rules offers alternative paths.
Players will find 36 new backgrounds specific to Liquid Steel, such as the Necro Alchemist, a character defined by their deep research into the profane and knowledge of death. The setting book will also include new adversaries, spells, items, and two new adventures written by Daniel Sell, the creator of TROIKA!.
