Celestial Bodies is a funding Kickstarter from Binary Star Games. They’re asking for $30,000 and have raised $26,700 with April 3rd as the end date. It’s looking good for the publisher’s first campaign.
The TTRPG is a GMless (and solo okay) sci-fi of tactical combat in which you fight with mecha to claim the bodies of dead gods found deep in space. You can see progress on the pitch page.

Binary Star have clearly built up a loyal fan base and has previously published Apocalyse Frame and Valiant Horizon. For Celestial Bodies, they’re working with Charlotte Laskowski on design, writing, layout and illustration. Charlotte has previous experience with Daisy Chainsaw and Rosethorn Keep. There’s Roz Leahy, editing, from Mothership and Warhammer 40K: Wrath & Glory; Kyle Tam, from Moriah, Primadonna and Pathfinder; plus Hipólita, both on supplemental writing.
In the game, players belong to a faction and experience life through downtime events. For missions, they design their own mechs from parts and go to fight.
Much of the fighting is over titans, dead gods that this generation of human space refugees have found and which are an unknown but precious resource.
The grid on which mechs are designed also serves for hit locations and the game generates missions using a hexflower.
There’s been a version of Celestial Bodies out before via an ‘itchfunder’, and this is the Titanic Eclipse Edition.
In this GMless and solo-able game, you play as the residents of one of the home-ships that house the remnants of humanity. You are its Lamplighters: the unions of pilot and mech that each home-ship maintains to protect their interests.

Backers at $25 unlock the PDF of Celestial Bodies. That will weigh in somewhere between 350 and 400 pages. It’s a big TTRPG. Backers who have the original edition and just want to catch up with the new digital zines can do by pledging $30 in support.
A softcover of Celestial Bodies unlocks as the reward for backers at $40, with shipping (mostly) worldwide on offer too, and the PDF included.
Supporters who need the PDF of the core rule and the setting zines can unlock those as a reward with a $50 pledge.
At $70, the hardcover and PDF of the core Celestial Bodies rules are unlocked.
The last tier is pegged at $125 which includes the hardcover, the zines and PDFs for everything.
Binary Star estimates a March 2026 delivery.
