Kids in the Attic, the publisher created by Rick S Hershey and Lucus Palosaari after the sale of Fat Goblin Games are about to win a short-run but successful Kickstarter.
13 Screams Beneath the Withering Sky concludes on February 9th, and that’s just three days from this post going live!

How long did the campaign run for? 13 days, of course. I’m over a week late!
The TTRPG has been designed for people who like to overcome insurmountable odds in their free time. Hey, I mean, we game to relax and surely this is the way!
The core rules offer character creation, rules for exploring a cursed world and the challenges that the 13 Warlords who rule it bring.
Kids in the Attic say that the world of 13 Screams Beneath the Withering Sky has already succumbed to despair. The people there have given up, and the will to persist in this unforgiving nightmare from the mind of a damaged god is barely there.
The PCs are different.
The PCs in 13 Screams Beneath the Withering Sky want more and will fight for it.
This is a game built for players who love dark, atmospheric settings and high-stakes action. Whether you’re new to RPGs or a seasoned adventurer, this game has everything you need for unforgettable campaigns.

Backers can support the game by spreading the word. At $10, backers also get the PDF copy as a thank you. The game is expected to hit retail later, and the MSRP will be around $20.
At $20, there’s a PDF and softcover coupon for at-print and shipping for the softcover. DriveThruRPG and its partners will deal with that; they have printers outside the US. The same reward deal, except with a hardcover, unlocks at $35.
Fans get the PDF, softcover and hardcover coupons at $50.
Kids in the Attic estimate an April 2025 delivery of the project, which isn’t far away but longer than a 13-day wait. Hopefully, there won’t be any screaming.
