These fantastic wooden horse sculptures are by the artist Heather Jansch, and she has an easy-to-use gallery on her site where you can preview some more of her work.
Much of her wood is collected from the coast as well. Good to see that trees aren’t being chopped down in the name of art.
Why are wooden horses of interest to gamers? I think they’re inspiration and especially to worldbuilders. Yes, Game Masters, I’m looking at you. Could wooden horses be fae or the manifestation of magic woods? Druid mounts or summons?
