Evil Genius will release a sci-fi TTRPG designed by Bryan CP Steele and use d20 Future.
We’ve not heard much from Evil Genius Games for a while, and not since founder Dave Scott was seen at a Cryptocurrency convention.
This was controversial because some people associate crypto with NFT, and Evil Genius promised not to do NFT. Before then, the company had been in the press often, and the Rebel Moon fight with Netflix was one reason.
Evil Genius was supposed to be doing the Rebel Moon TTRPG and had almost done it when Netflix plugged the plug. The out-of-court settlement led us to believe a new sci-fi RPG would be on the way.
If Rebel Moon was a plan b of a failed Star Wars pitch, perhaps we see some of that in the Intergalactic Heroes blurb.
Welcome to Intergalactic Heroes, a roleplaying game that puts the things you love about science fiction into the hands of players and Game Masters all across the galaxies! Whether you want to battle against tyrannical star-empires or just pilot your way to fame and riches, this game is home to everything you need for new and amazing sci-fi adventures.
The Intergalactic Heroes Player’s Guide starts the project and will include 19 new classes, six non-human origins, new weapons and gear and the Throneworld Saga to take PCs to level 10.
There’s another sci-fi RPG story here, too as Evil Genius also once published the Total Recall game. That title is now removed from DriveThruRPG. Perhaps the license expired, and Geek Native has reached out to Evil Genius for more dialogue.
Is that the end of the story? Community contributions can be found in the comment section at the end of the page.
