The Pleo isn’t dead. Phew. Although the original company weren’t able to weather the economic climate the cute robotic dinosaur was picked up and saved by Innvo.
The next generation of Pleo has just been revealed at the Hony Kong Electronic Show. The new Pleo – known as the Pleo rb – is blue rather than green. I know there was a problem with paint coming off the original Pleos but I think I prefer the green to the blue we see here. It’s the way the pattern fails to blend in with the skin/scale tone that seems to reduce the effect for me.
This video shows a brand new PLEO rb in action. Okay, baby Pleo’s don’t do very much but at least you get to check out the sound effects.
