Quintessential American fast food brand McDonald’s has turned to Japan’s favourite kaiju for a TV slot.
I can’t find sub-titled versions, and I’m sure the dialogue would be fantastically Godzilla. However, understanding is optional for me, and I get the jist from this quick minute of action.
It’s a big year for Godzilla. The monster lizard turns 70, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is coming to Apple TV+ and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is getting a worldwide cinema release.
The recent Toho-made Godzilla Minus One is excellent and doing well on the big screen as well.
Sadly, only in Japan are McDonald’s putting on kaiju-sized specials, and the ads are coming out like trailers for a McDonald’s vs. Godzilla movie.
