Loculus Games’ Chrono-Rogue Starter Set Rules has been on DriveThruRPG since August, with a note that the whole game is coming to Kickstarter.
I don’t think I missed it, and the game isn’t there yet. Nevertheless, these are 55 pages of quality, illustrated and well-presented game rules.
Chrono-Rogue is a tabletop roleplaying adventure game that combines time travel and piracy against the sombre backdrop of humanity’s destined fate. As characters battle against secret powers and the machinations of time, blades will be drawn, treasures will be taken, and mysteries will be revealed.
Characters are Time Pirates, crooks who travel through history to steal precious items, assassinate world leaders, or overturn nations through subtle or overt activities. The crew will employ special training and chronomantic powers to fight formidable warriors, thwart cruel assassins, and manipulate wily nobility to your will aboard your slip-ship.
The setting is a colossal multiverse of possibilities as character pirates slip in and out of time undetected, conquering timelines from the shadows. They may encounter weird things in the space between time eras and old foes onboard one of the many floating time cities or out on some untamed frontier. Their gear is worn and tattered, but the desire for adventure and money is substantial. The opportunities for the crew to uncover are limitless.
