Stuart Wilding is writing a 120-page book about hunting monsters professionally in the 19th century. The illustrations we’ve seen so far from Ruben Mocho and Byron Andreu look great.
Monsters of the Occult is a d6 RPG running in ZineQuest which offers to bring Victorian-era characters to life. There are two weeks left on the clock, and you can back from Kickstarter.
The RPG will offer customisable weapons that level up with the characters, a d6 system, a Monster Codex, a combat system using points, point-buy character building and fame management.
Hunters of the Occult comes with a one-shot adventure and five character classes.
Fans can upgrade to a limited edition foil cover, and the challenge of international shipping has been tackled.
In a world plagued by monsters, it’s hunt or be hunted. Monster Hunters are the bastion of light that stand between civilization’s survival or extinction. However, where one monster falls, two arise to take its place and the light is beginning to fade.
There are many supporter tiers, some early birds, so let’s look at a small sample.
Backers at $15 will be rewarded with a PDF copy of the RPG.
At $30, the PDF comes with a softback edition of Hunters of the Occult. In addition, your name will be included in the Tome of Fabled Hunters.
The stack of character sheets is added to the Hunters pile for backers at $40 or, as an alternative, the limited edition softback cover.
Combos of the options continue up to $70, but the $200, which was only available to one backer, has gone.
The estimated delivery date is January 2023.
