Parable Games have found success with their horror RPG Shiver and today emailed fans with news of big steps and changes.
Shiver’s lead writer, Charlie Menzies, is going full time with Parable. That’s a scary thing to do if it means moving from a salary paying job into the fickle world of tabletop RPG fans.
Charlie joins artist Ben, who also has a full-time role.
So what? Parable explains that this means faster completion rates for Shiver and new content. The publisher now expects Shiver Gothic to e ready ahead of schedule but urges caution given the messy state of shipping, logistics and the world.
There are also hints of new projects, but they don’t offer any more clues.
This year, Shiver has been shortlisted for Best RPG at the UK Games Expo, a large gaming convention that Geek Native hopes to return to in 2023. At that tradeshow, Parable will make their big reveals, they say.
