The only time I was in a gaming group that made regular use of GM screens, dice towers and trays was because of cats. And a puppy.
If something small and shiny scattered across the table, it would be chased. Anything that fell on the floor was considered food, eaten first and worried about later. The DM stat behind a screen not to hide dice from players but from a skinny ginger lady with a tail.
Perhaps Etsy’s AwakenedDM has had similar experiences. The wood craft sells items like spell-slot trackers and very impressive items like this steampunk DM screen. However, it’s the Dungeon Meowster that caught my attention.
The wood DM screen comes in a few colour combinations. In fact, right now, there are more colour options than the AwakenedDM has the capacity to make these screens; there are only 2 available at the time of writing.
The colour options are; red, green, blue, black and purple. These combo up with uncoated plywood, teak or oak varnishes.
Closed, the plywood screen comes in at 26x40cm and open that becomes 26x80cm. There are also magnets for attaching the side panels or notes to it.
The catch, sorry to say, is that 1.3KG can take up to six weeks to ship. You’re not going to get this in time for a Valentine’s Day gift.
