Later this year, in Japan, a new anime Sonny Boy from Shingo Natsume will premiere on TV.
Shingo Natsume is better known as the director of Space Dandy and One-Punch Man.
Sonny Boy follows school kid Nagara (centre in the image below), the typically mysterious transfer student Nozomi (right) and school friend Mizuhu (left) are transported to a different dimension.
There in the strange new world, 36 boys and girls have to survive. They have to stay alive using the superpowers that have manifested inside them.
Madhouse is the studio behind the project, and Natsume is writing and directing. Dororo’s Mari Fujino is in charge of the art.
The series will come to Funimation, although they’re unable to share a date as to when that’ll happen yet.
