The Op has announced that the Dungeons & Dragons Monopoly game available now.
Okay, it may be the case that the announcement team has beaten the shop team by a little bit as theop.games/products/game/monopoly-dungeons-dragons/ isn’t yet available, despite the link in the announcement. Keep refreshing; I’m sure it’ll appear.
The Op say;
Legendary traveler and storyteller of fame, Volothamp Geddarm, is seeking explorers of both the unpredictable and familiar in this fantastical spin on the classic board game. Players will need to capture dangerous creatures of the Forgotten Realms to help Volo research them for his tome, while also trying to come out with the most riches!
The D&D Monopoly game includes 22 monsters in place of property titles on the board, including the Demogorgon since Stranger Things made it famous and classics like the Beholder and Bugbear. I also notice a Tarrasque. Good luck with that.
You don’t build houses or hotels on monsters, but instead mark your expeditions and based.
Instead of Community and Chance cards, there are Treasure and Encounters to dish out the fickle whims of fate.
Rather than railways, there are iconic locations like Tomb of Horror and Castle Ravenloft.
As with the usual table flipping, family fight inducing Monopoly, Monopoly: Dungeons & Dragons is suitable for 2 to 6 players, 8 and up and takes around 60 minutes.
When it does appear on The Op, and if you can’t get out to support your local games store, there is good reason to buy it from them. The board games publisher announced on Earth Day a tree planting program. Each game you buy from them results in a charity putting a tree in the ground.
