Cestvs: The Roman Fighter picked up by Crunchyroll

The latest trailer for the historical seinen manga by Shizuya Wazarai comes with a note from Crunchyroll to confirm they’ve picked up the anime.

The story follows a young man, Cestvs, who is bought and then forced to become a brutal gladiator boxer.

There’s no profile on Crunchyroll for the Roman Fighter yet, but the streaming platform describes the series as follows.

During the Roman empire’s reign, one man fights for his life in the famed Colosseum.

As the trailer shows, Cestvs: The Roman Fighter will mix CG into the animation. It’s a technique being implemented by MAGIC&LOGIC and BN Pictures for +Ultra in Japan.

The series starts in Japan on the 14th and is expected to run on Crunchyroll during the spring season.
