Seiko Tanabe’s story is of a woman who uses a wheelchair who meets a college student in unusual circumstances and become friends. Together, the find a way for “Josee” to leave her house more often.
It’s a story of overcoming hardship, making choices, and of trying to do the right thing but not always getting it right.
The story was first adapted into a live-action film.
