A review of Kevin Smith’s Tough Sh*t

March 11, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood 1 Comment

This isn’t an article on proctology but a review of the latest book from Kevin Smith – Clerks, Good Will Hunting, Mallrats and plenty more. Fatty McNoFly. That Kevin Smith. Throughout the book you’ll be reminded that Southwest Airlines wouldn’t let him fly. You can tell he’s still annoyed by this – certainly not willing […]

Cheshire coffee cat

July 9, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood 1 Comment

What can I say about this picture other than I’ve filed it under “cool”. # This Cheshire Cat is clearly from – on inspired by – Tim Burton’s Alice. He has that sort of lavicious grin that seems more suited to an adult Alice. What do you think?

Alice In Wonderland featurette

March 5, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood 1 Comment

An Alice in Wonderland featurette that not only teases us with more clips from the film but has short commentary and insight from Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway and Mr Burton. Can’t wait to see this.

January 30, 2010 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

On the plus side we’ve got some new art and shots from Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. On the negative side we’ve also got the Avril Lavigne song “Alice” from the movie. Don’t get me wrong. My music taste is miles wide and I’m big and ugly enough to say what i like. I have liked […]

Alice in Wonderland trailer

December 16, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Here’s the latest trailer from the delightfully dark looking Alice in Wonderland. Tim Burton must be on to a winner with this 3D delight with Johny Depp as the Mad Hatter. It’s also worth considering that Alice has been aged to a tender 19 years old for this movie.

Tim Burton at The Museum of Modern Art

November 18, 2009 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This is too cool for words; film master Tim Burton is being featured in the Museum of Modern Art (the New York one) all the way from November 22, 2009 to April 26, 2010. That’s pretty cool news in itself but check out this little 30 second video they’ve got to publicise the date. Fantastic. […]
