June 14, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Sony’s God of War trailer is already one of the big hits from 2016’s E3. The YouTube clip from PlayStation has hit 1.3m views over night. Kratos has gone North, has a kid, is surrounded by snow and looks all set to take on the Norse gods. You can pre-order at Amazon.

E3 trailer: Spider-man

June 14, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood 3 Comments

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLm1A2-Fr7s The working title of this game is ‘Spider-man’ but that’s unlikely to change much. Taking a break from the movies goes beyond picking a new costume for Spidey. Insomniac Games’ adventure features an experienced Spider-man. The PlayStation 4 game featres parkour, lots of use of the environment and, of course, Spider-man trying to balance […]

E3 trailer: Days Gone

June 14, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

We already have one good looking, far future, post-apoc RPG from Sony to look forward to in the shape of Horizon: Zero Dawn. Days Gone is another, set in the near future, after zombies. Our hero is a biker turned merc and bounty hunter in an open-world adventure game. The story is said to focus […]

E3 trailer: Horizon Zero Dawn

June 14, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Not hapy with the game previews at E3 which didn’t show you any gameplay? This trailer, over 8 minutes long, from the RPG Horizon Zero Dawn is much better. This is %100 gameplay and looks like a movie. This exclusive to the PlayStation 4 is due out in February 2017. Made by Guerrilla Games and […]

E3 trailer: The Last Guardian

June 14, 2016 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Once feared lost to Development Hell, The Last Guardian is now coming to PlayStation 4 and relatively soon as well. The game will be out in October. We didn’t see loads of gameplay in the E3 but certainly got a feel for the sadness we will expect from the game. The plot, as far as […]

200,000 sticky notes, a train set and Sony’s Action Cam

May 26, 2015 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHKXZFSa6t0 In this promo video Sony’s team built a model train (you can see the process at the end of the clip), attached a Sony Action Cam and drove it through a colourful landscape brought to life with sticky notes. Lots and lots of sticky notes; 200,000 sticky notes. Early on you can see white […]

Sony backs high school guitar band

March 4, 2015 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Does a Japanese all-girl high school band sound like the stuff of anime to you? K-On, perhaps? That’s 3 sets of drums and 5 guitars for the band. They’re called 五五七二三二〇, which I’m told is pronounced, “go go nana ni san ni rei”. I believe the band are actual high school girls. The song is […]

E3: LittleBigPlanet 3 trailer

June 10, 2014 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

LittleBigPlanet has always managed to earn coverage here on Geek Native. That’s not usual for a platform game but, of course, LittleBigPlanet isn’t a usual platform game. What’s remarkable about LittleBigPlanet is the way it lets you create playable game worlds and that’s very much something that interests geek natives. The game will be out […]
