Impressive Borderlands casemod

May 14, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The PC above has enjoyed some case modding tender loving care. What started off as an average case has been turned into something awesome. I’ve seen some case mods that look like robots and statues. They look like a lot of work. This Borderlands casemod may appear to be simple in comparison but it took […]

Borderlands psycho cosplay

March 1, 2013 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

It’s not always easy to predict what will be popular posts on Geek Native. Cosplay is always a wild card – it either flops big time or soars with success. One of the most popular cosplay posts of 2012 was this collection of three of the best Borderlands cosplays. Here’s one more for the title. […]

Epic tier papercraft models

December 28, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

The super talented designer behind these awesome papercraft models is the deviant artist is Destro2K. Dominik Kempen, who describes himself “still a Mad Scientist”, designs the models in a 3D capable computer program first, prints his guides before beginning the long and careful process of folding and gluing. Kempen says that it took two weeks […]

Claptrap and tasty

October 19, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Step forward Mike Elder and Black Sheep Cakes. Elder and Cakes have cooked up this impressive groom’s cake. It looks ever so slightly like Claptrap from Borderlands. I assume a groom’s cake it a lot like a wedding cake but too good for the bride. No?

Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty trailer for Borderlands 2 DLC

October 16, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

2K Games and Gearbox Software have DLC available for Borderlands 2. We’re told the launch if a special offer; currently selling for $29.99 (or the points value thereof) for $40 worth of content. It’s the first of four content campaigns promised to the game. The Mechromancer, the fifth character class, is also now available – […]

Handsome Jack introduces Borderlands 2

August 13, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Handsome Jack is the apparent hero of the rough and ready planet Pandora in Borderlands 2. It looks like some time has past since Borderlands 1 and that adventure with the mystical vault – there are bigger, shinier, cities and Handsome Jack claims he has bought peace. Although it doens’t look very peaceful to me. […]

The Wimoweh (In The Jungle) Borderlands 2 trailer

July 12, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I’d describe Borderlands as having an interesting blend of cheeky violence with brutal survivalism humour. The Wimoweh trailer reassures me that 2K Games and Gearbox have everything in hand. You might well remember “Wimoweh” as the “In the Jungle” song… but would probably not expect to hear it in Borderlands!

What’s inside the Borderlands 2 Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s and Loot Chest Editions?

May 17, 2012 by Andrew Girdwood 3 Comments

Amazingly the post is a look inside – take a breah – the Borderlands 2 Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition and Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition. At this point I can’t even tell you whether that’s 2K Games’ Borderland humour or whether “Borderlands 2 Deluxe Vault Hunter’s Collector’s Edition and Ultimate Loot Chest Limited Edition” […]

Borderlands 2 launches on September 21st across the world or a few days before that, on the 18th, if you’re in the States. If you pre-order the game then you’ll get access to the Borderlands 2 Premier Club. Borderlands was a surprise hit for me. I really enjoyed it. I’m not in the shoot and […]
