Falling SKies – Mankind trailer

February 21, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Over in the States there’s been a second trailer for Steven Spielberg’s Falling Skies series. It’s going to air on TNT so I’m hopeful it’ll make its way to the UK. This a DreamWorks TV production and features the likes of Drey Roy, Maxim Knight and Moon Bloodgood. Isn’t that the best name ever? I […]

Anime X-Men trailer

February 20, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

We’ve got X-Men First Class to look forward to and worry about at the same time. There’s also another new X-Men franchise on the way. That’s Madhouse‘s anime version of X-Men for Animax. This is the same pair that produced the anime Ironman and Wolverine. The anime starts on April the 4th. We’re expecting to […]

SpongeBob Terminator in… er, LEGO!

February 20, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Did you know SpongeBob was a killer robot sent back from the future, by Skynet, to stop the saviour of mankind? You did? Well, I admit it, it makes sense. Suddenly everything becomes clear. It’s also true to say that the Terminator SpongeBob is entirely made out of LEGO. Surely it comes as no surprise […]

February 20, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

Selfridges have a range of Wonder Woman makeup on sale. Lots of it. The makeup is from MaC and ranges from Wonder Woman Powder Blush, to Wonder Woman lipstick to Wonder Woman Eyeshadow. In fact, when it comes to picking your eyeshadow you can go for either Lady Justice or Valiant. Nice.

Black Materia: Final Fantasy VII rap

February 20, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I’m not sure rap is my thing (despite having some Run DMC on my iPod) but Final Fantasy VII certainly is. Was Final Fantasy VII the best in the franchise? Random (also known as Mega Ran) and Lost Perception like both rap and Final Fantasy VII. They like both so much they’ve produced an entire […]

Surreal “Diamonds” Minecraft trailer

February 20, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

This is an user created trailer-meets-ad for Minecraft. If you’re that way inclined you may have noticed that “Deep Cover” by Dr. Dre (featuring the Snoop Dogg) as well as “The Forecast” by NERO feature in this little short. The video was directed by Martin Waltz (isn’t that a good name) and uploaded by TKRXT […]

Does your head hurt? The Rubik’s brain cube

February 19, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood Leave a Comment

I don’t think Professor Rubik actually had anything to do with this brain… except, well, the whole inspiring Deviant Artist Freeny with his famous Rubik’s Cube invention. I wonder if an alternative name for the brain cube would be the whisky cube? It certainly reminds me of the drink!

Tonight I’m frakking you

February 18, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood 3 Comments

This is one frakking geek line up. I wonder if it was this appearance of Alessandra Torresani as slave Leia that inspired the video. What we have here is Kunal Nayyar, Matthew Brian Brown, Alessandra Torressani, Amy Okuda, Richard Hatch and, er, Chad Vader! Want the lyrics to “Tonight I’m frakking you”? No problem. Got […]

Bulldog clip monster goes rawr!

February 18, 2011 by Andrew Girdwood 4 Comments

This photograph shows what dangers can occur when someone is bored at work. After being created this bulldog clip and staple remover monster went on a rampage. Over two dozen people were badly hurt in the carnage and the beast only stopped after being distracted by a chain of paperclips.

Mobile Review: Samsung Omnia 7

February 17, 2011 by Graham Gibson Leave a Comment

Samsung’s Omnia 7 is their very first foray into the world of Windows Phone 7, Microsoft’s secret weapon in their war to reclaim market share in the mobile space having haemorrhaged most of it away to their competitors since the emergence of the original iPhone and the subsequent rise of the smartphone platform in general. […]
