Vampunks is a tabletop RPG from The Punk Wrangler. In other words, that’s writer Alexander Eden and illustrator Jonathan Eden.
The 36-paged PDF is half core rules, quarter Enemy Catalog (monster manual and generic NPCs) and quarter Mission Catalog (pre-made adventures).
It’s an easy RPG to pick up, using a 3d6 system (or 666 if you prefer) and three traits of Grit, Tech, Faith. Chargen is simple, you have 5 points to distribute between those free and cannot exceed 3 points in any one stat.
Vampunks is a game set in the near future where pollution is so bad that the sun is blocked out. Humanity is dumb, led by the media, hooked into the internet, and there’s a great divide between the rich and everyone else.
In other words; this is a perfect time to be a vampire.
The world’s vampires are not unopposed, though. What’s left of the vampire hunters are supplied by world governments to track the bloodsuckers down. They are the Vampunks!
But… Vampunks face a tough choice. The time will surely come when the Vampunk finds herself at death’s door. She could, if she chooses, lean into the darkness and embrace that terrible power of vampirism to extend her life and perhaps her mission.
