Jerry D. Grayson is a game designer responsible for projects like GODSEND Agenda, HELLAS: Worlds of Sun and Stone, and ATLANTIS: The Second Age. Grayson’s current project is TERRA OBLIVION: Adventures on a Symbiotic World and it is a pre-apocalyptic game of eco-espionage, set on a world slowly being killed by humanity’s need to consume.
The campaign is asking for US $7,500 to fund and, at the time of writing, there are still 27 days on the clock. There’s $6, 233 pledged. I know I’m calling it early, but I feel that Terra Oblivion is going to fund. You can see the progress for yourself at the campaign page.
The game is set in the future. It’s too late to save Earth, humanity as left it and found a replacement would – Terra.
Did we learn? Of course not. It’s worse this time, Terra is alive and in exchange for taking resources, we should give something in return. We’re literally killing the planet this time.
Terra Oblivion will be a 96-page, full colour, hardback that uses the Mythic D6 system. We’ll get rules for Gnostic Prana Abilities, details of the people and new equipment and adversaries for Mythic D6. The book comes with a full-length adventure as well.
There’s a free to download sample of the book (PDF link) available as well.
If you’re not familiar with the Mythic D6 system, then there’s a free preview of that (PDF link) available as well.
In the game, characters are agents of Terra, they see how the strip-mining is killing their new home and have the will to stop it.
A pledge of US15 is enough to secure a PDF of the 96-page rules, and $30 will get you those and a PDF copy of Mythic D6 as well.
Alternatively, $30 will get you a hardcover and PDF copy of the Terra rules. If you fancy jumping in and getting both Mythic D6 and Terra Oblivion in hardback, then that’s $80, but the Kickstarter will only accept 100 pledges of the latter.
